Shortly after they were fully weaned, it was decided they would move to a new home. The home, which was deeper into the peaks, was anything but a safer place. Soon after they arrived their father was taken by the very bird her brother was named after. Virtue then fled with her two kits, all the way to Clan territory. When they arrived, she was too delusional to explain. Eventually she got frustrated and lashed out on a warrior. The warrior's companion ended her life in the defense of the pair. Scorchflake and Condorflight were taken into ShadowClan, and since they were so young, they soon forgot about their parents.
As an apprentice she became devoted to Blazingnight, Ashpaw at the time. She would willingly do anything asked of her and frequently followed her around like a lost puppy. She even "fell in love" with Ashpaw for a short time, but her companion quickly broke her heart and detached herself from Scorchpaw. But somehow, they still remain best friends. After becoming a warrior, Scorchflake started growing more distant from Blazingash. When her companion decided to take ShadowClan form Halestorm, she accompioned the cat but didn't harm anyone. She kept Finchpaw safe, instead, keeping him from the battle. As Blazingnight became leader, the distance between the pair grew even more. Scorchflake still referred to her as her best friend, but everytime they interacted the hosility grew more and more. During this time Scorchflake fell in love with Finch, and soon became pregnant with his kits. There were four, but that dwindled to two. Blazingnight kitnapped them, tossing them into the cold rain in the middle of the night. Finch happened upon them, and managed to save one. Mountainkit survived, while Blazingnight allowed one kit to stay with Scorch, Briarkit. The other two died. This was the point in which Scorchflake would never forgive Blazingnight. Yet, she stilled called her her best friend. She went on raising her son, visiting her daughter when she could, and her life was simple. She wasn't bothered by the evil in her clan. But then SkyClan arrived, to free ShadowClan of the cruelty it suffered. At first Scorchflake fought to defended the cruelty of Blazingnight, but then she turned sides. One of her clanmates was killed because of her, another fatally wounded. As she was taking a breather, she looked up and saw something she never expected to see. Blazingnight murdered Grousestar, taking one of his lives. A sudden anger overcame her, so fierce she finally did something she had been terrified to do all her life in ShadowClan. She approached Blazingnight, and challenged her. Both she-cats were angry, which made for a fast-paced battle. Scorchflake's anger was so fueled she was calm and calculated, she watched every move Blazingnight made. The other she-cat was hate-filled and careless, believing in her strength. While Scorchflake was injured terribly, Blazingnight was the one to die. When she returned from the Dark Forest, her lives were taken. That's when the regret pooled around Scorchflake, as her blood fell from her wounds. The only thing Scorchflake could do was say, "I'm sorry." |
Description Appearance: Dark sandy she-cat with darker tan fur tips, giving her a smokey appearance. Light, dull green eyes, with faint brown specks. A white chest and paws also coat her fur.
Scars/Injuries: She has a scar on her front right leg for an unknown reason. Above her right eye is a thin scar. On her chest and extended to her left shoulder is a huge gash of an ugly scar. Around her entire body are other scars. Personality: As an apprentice: The biggest aspects of this she-cat include her sense of awareness and her submissiveness. Instead of being bold and spontaneous, she is willing to step back and let someone else take the lead. Although, this gets out of hand as she will bend to anyone's will without almost any hesitation. A true follower at heart, she doesn't mind a leader's choices. Certain leaders are able to bring out another side of her. At random times she can suddenly be bold and teasing, but it will always suddenly disappear and she will become terrified and doubled the submissive. Recently her inner evil has been sparked by Ashpaw, and she is turning more brutal and speaks out harshly more often. Her bravery also extends to how submissive she can be. Sometimes, she is almost the dominant one. As a young warrior: Scorchflake still carries her sense of awareness, but her submissive trait has begun to fade. She struggles daily in her decision for what is wrong and what is right, and she always goes back to being a loyal follower of Blazingnight. Despite everything that is happening and being planned, she convinces herself that it is for the good of ShadowClan... But it isn't. Her ability in battle is definitely her strongest trait, as her strength and speed are at a high level. She is conflicted, however, and that has made her suffer in both battle and taking care of the clan. She is more of a wanderer, avoiding the camp and Blazingnight instead of following her. As she realizes her love for Finch, she begins to sway more and more towards the good, but is constantly fighting a battle within herself. Eventually she discovers she is most comfortable when teaching or just reviewing what she knows, and she becomes devoted to things such as that, taking it seriously and even being strict about it. However, she does detach this from her personal life, and can easily balance between the two. As a warrior: This warrior has been through a lot throughout her life. Her view on the world is that cats are selfish and think only of themselves. Cats are also deserving of free reign and don't need a dictator to control their lives. Scorchflake has becone a very corrupt and empty, emotionless cat. Her time of being friends with Blazingnight, now Ash, changed in terribly. Once a confident, observant cat, she is now made of stone. She prefers sitting in the background, being forgotten and neglected. Most days her thoughts are clouded with cruel things, but yet she never acts on it. Her life is filled with a worry that some day she'll turn into Ash, and desire to take over her clan and murder who stands in her way. More often than not she wants to run away and never return, be forgotten. Hatred for what she did to her best friend burns through her, and she doesn't want the recognition for killing Blazingnight. |
