He has a very positive view on life, and strives to share this view with as many as he can. He enjoys challenges, but is more laid back now that he is an expectant father. Because of becoming an expectant father and the mate of a easily depressed she-cat, he has become extremely overprotective, and is literally willing to fight his mate's brother if he hurts her. He will sacrifice a lot for Heron and his future kits, happily taking the father role and becoming a family cat. |
History
As the offspring of a forbidden relationship, Breezefall, Medicine Cat of WindClan, and Shatter, leader of a mountain rogue group, his life was off to a more difficult start for his parents. As a young kit, he was quite oblivious to the affairs his older sister took part in. She was rebellious, hated obeying their father and would do what she could to not follow him. Light ended up falling in love with a rival rogue group, got pregnant, and was killed by her mate's father when the kits were born. Scatter, then Dart, was not fazed by her passing, he was never close to his older siblings and stuck with Flash. Because of this death, his father sent him and Flash away and unleashed a war against the rival group, killing most of the members.
Dart and Flash were sent to WindClan, given instructions in how to get there and who to look for. However, after being given a new freedom, Dart realized he didn't want to become restricted into another Clan. So, on their last night of travel, he left Flash alone, and headed off. And he kept going, and going. He didn't settle down until he was twelve moons old, eight moons later, outside SkyClan territory. He found a beautiful home and was proud to call it his own.
Within a few sunrises of him claiming his territory, a traveler appeared. At first Dart was unsure of him, but the words that tumbled from the other's mouth brought a curiosity from Dart and he allowed the traveler into his home. The tom, Blaze, had only stayed a night before departing. It was thanks to Blaze that Dart had given himself a new name, to finally detach himself completely from his past life. That night, Dart had become Scatter.
Life was dull, no one happened by and nothing dangerous entered his territory. Five moons after meeting Blaze, the tom had returned. He confessed he missed the company of Scatter dearly and they rekindled their companionship. They would do lots together, hunt, patrol, talk. They grew closer and closer, and eventually it seemed Blaze was going to live permanently with Scatter after a moon of this routine. But then Blaze confessed he was starting to love Scatter. And Scatter was going to admit he loved Blaze, too. But Blaze wanted more than just a relationship. He wanted it all, and Scatter was not comfortable with that. So he had to say he didn't love Blaze, that he'd rather them be friends. This did nothing but ruin their friendship and Blaze turned and left.
Ten moons later, he met few cats and only had an encounter with one fox. But suddenly, he was growing bored. So, he entered SkyClan territory. And found a tree, a tree that he enjoyed. And it seemed a SkyClan warrior enjoyed that tree, too. The warrior was depressed, refused to see the happiness in life. Suddenly Scatter had a challenge, a purpose. And he took it happily.
This cat he met in the tree was Heron, his beautiful mate, who he is loves dearly. He's grateful for everything that has happened in his life, as it all led up to meeting her and starting a beautiful family.
